Specialist managed IT services provider Enterprise IT has achieved Advanced Consulting Partner status with Amazon Web Services in New Zealand, in recognition of the company’s strong cloud offering.

The Auckland-based company - which was recognised as a Homegrown Innovator at the 2015 Reseller News ICT Industry Awards - has significantly ramped up its services team during the past few years, building on its growing expertise across cloud, business intelligence and analytics.

“Our achievement is a direct result of planning, people and the belief that it is possible to deliver ‘IT right first time’ for our customers,” says Stuart Speers, CEO, Enterprise IT.

“By building an experienced, skilled and knowledgeable cloud services team, we continue to foster a customer-centric approach that resonates in a market dominated by generalist service providers.”

Since expanding its cloud offering, and becomes an AWS Consulting Partner in September 2013, the company has achieved significant levels of accreditation across AWS, Microsoft and Oracle platforms, while also expanding through the opening of Wellington and Auckland offices.

“We would like to congratulate enterprise IT for achieving AWS Advanced Consulting Partner status,” adds Tim Dacombe-Bird, Regional Sales Manager, AWS New Zealand.

“Over the last three years enterprise IT has built a strong AWS practice, gained extensive experience in designing, building and deploying AWS services and retained a strong bench of AWS trained and certified staff.

“By achieving AWS Advanced Consulting Partner status, Enterprise IT has met the standard prescribed by AWS across multiple disciplines including Training and Certification enabling them to deliver great customer outcomes.”

Sizing up the NZ security spectrum - Where's the channel sweet spot?

From new extortion schemes, outside threats and rising cyber attacks, the art of securing the enterprise has seldom been so complex or challenging. With distance no longer a viable defence, Kiwi businesses are fighting to stay ahead of the security curve. In total, 28 per cent of local businesses faced a cyber attack last year, with the number in New Zealand set to rise in 2017. Yet amidst the sensationalism, media headlines and ongoing high profile breaches, confusion floods the channel, as partners seek strategic methods to combat rising sophistication from attackers. In sizing up the security spectrum, this Reseller News roundtable - in association with F5 Networks, Kaspersky Lab, Tech Data, Sophos and SonicWall - assessed where the channel sweet spot is within the New Zealand channel.
