Cream of Kiwi channel crop as HP unveils 2015 Partner Awards finalists

Tech giant unveils finalists for 2015 Partner Awards in New Zealand - honouring the best of the Kiwi channel.

HP Inc. has unveiled finalists for its 2015 Partner Awards in New Zealand, an inaugural event honouring the best of the Kiwi channel.

To be held on November 26 in Auckland, the tech giant will honour partners across nine categories, ranging from print, PC, education, distribution and retail.

HP Inc. - which took out the Hardware Vendor of the Year and Corporate Citizenship awards at the 2015 Reseller News ICT Industry Awards in October - will honour winners based on three main data points - growth, consistency and engagement.

HP Inc. is one of the new-look companies, with the other, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, set to honour Kiwi partners at a separate event on December 8

Drawing on recommendations from its local judging panel, here are the HP Partner of the Year Awards finalists for 2015:

HP Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Acquire
  • Datacom Wellington
  • The Laptop Company
  • Staples
  • SoftSource

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 25 percent print growth, 25 percent PC growth, 25 percent engagement and 25 percent consistency.

HP Print Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Bondwell
  • Codeblue
  • Corporate Consumables
  • Datacom Wellington

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 50 percent value laser unit growth, 25 percent managed print contracts signed and 25 percent Officejet Pro X growth.

HP PC Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Acquire Ltd
  • Bondwell
  • Fujitsu
  • Origin IT
  • Softsource

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 50 percent YoY revenue growth, 30 percent engagement and 20 percent consistency.

HP Growth Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Bondwell
  • Datacom Wellington
  • Origin IT
  • Softsource
  • Think Concepts

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 50 percent PC growth and 50 percent print hardware growth.

HP Education Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Advaro
  • Cyclone
  • Lexel
  • New Era IT

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 40 percent YOY revenue growth, 20 percent engagement, 20 percent competitive conversion and 20 percent innovation.

HP Distributor of the Year 2015:

  • Exeed
  • Ingram Micro
  • Sektor

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 50 percent PC and print revenue growth, 20 percent engagement, 20 percent consistency and 10 percent innovation.

HP Retailer of the Year 2015:

  • Dick Smith
  • JB Hi-Fi
  • Noel Leeming Group
  • Warehouse Stationery

Criteria - Judges ranked companies on 50 percent growth for PC and 50 percent growth for print.

HP Innovative Solutions Partner of the Year 2015:

  • Acquire
  • Lexel
  • Origin IT
  • Softsource
  • Spark Digital
  • Think Concepts

Criteria - Partner submissions closed in October with 100 percent of voting based on partner submissions.

HP Channel Sales Person of the Year 2015:

To be announced at the event.

Criteria - Partner Submissions closed in October. Judges ranked individuals on 40 percent engagement, 30 percent sales and 30 percent competitive conversion.
