
Ruckus Wireless has appointed John Dunbar as Head of Sales for Enterprise in New Zealand, tasked with leading the enterprise sales teams and contining to drive rapid growth in New Zealand.
Reporting to Pat Devlin, Managing Director at Ruckus Wireless A/NZ, Dunbar will be responsible for driving the company’s revenue, while maintaining the high degree of partner and customer satisfaction that sets the company apart from its competitors.
Additionally, Dunbar will be tasked with continuing to grow Ruckus’ channel partners in New Zealand to help drive product adoption.
“John’s vast experience and understanding of the customer and channel landscape, along with his technical knowledge of the wireless space, will enable Ruckus to work more closely with a growing number of partners and to implement state-of-the-art Wi-Fi systems for new customers in New Zealand,” Devlin says.
Dunbar brings more than 23 years of sales management, business strategy, general management and channel to market experience, having worked for a number of resellers and distributors.
Dunbar previously worked for Telco Technology Services (TTS) where he was involved in various aspects of the business including sales, marketing and technical design.
Prior to TTS, Dunbar had roles in distribution including Ingram Micro and Cellnet, where he was the Managing Director in both companies.
“Wi-Fi is becoming a critical element for today’s businesses and governments,” Dunbar adds. “There is an element of unpredictability in the way that it interacts with the physical environment.
“Ruckus Wireless is an engineering focused company that understand this and has developed really intelligent antennae systems, which solve a lot of environmental challenges when implementing a WiFi network.
“There is also a keen interest from the New Zealand market in local analytics and Ruckus is a world leader in this space. I have always been a follower of Ruckus and now, working for them, I have the opportunity to show others what it can do.”
