​BlackLine brings cloud to NZ with new channel partner program

Cloud firm BlackLine has unveiled a new channel partner program as part of its strategy to expand global distribution and meet surging demand across accounting and finance verticals.

Coming to New Zealand, BlackLine provides a cloud platform which supports the entire close-to-disclose process, designed to help midsize companies and large enterprises strengthen controls, lower compliance risks and gain greater efficiencies.

With intensifying global competitive pressures and the growing complexity of financial processes, BlackLine claims companies are leveraging cloud-based tools and undergoing large-scale finance transformation projects in an effort to modernise organisations.

“Mid-market and large companies alike are developing new products, entering new markets and extending their geographic reach,” says Chris Murphy, Chief Revenue Officer, BlackLine.

“Approaching the month-end close, finance and accounting must reconcile an increasingly vast amount of data - documenting that the account balances are correct.”

While enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence (BI) systems collect, track and analyse business data, Murphy claims they do not automate account reconciliations and other critical accounting processes.

As a result, Murphy says BlackLine’s Modern Finance Platform arms channel partners with a solution to offer clients that replaces manual spreadsheet-based processes and ensures enhanced data accuracy, visibility and control.

“BlackLine channel partners are seasoned consultants and experts in their fields who offer strategic guidance, deep technical skills and relevant expertise that extends our reach significantly and enables a much more rapid deployment of the BlackLine solution globally,” he adds.

“By adding BlackLine to their product portfolios, our channel partners can provide their customers with a solution that will deliver visible return on investment in a very short timeframe, while also providing the partners themselves with margins and incentives to help grow their business.

“We look forward to a very collaborative go-to-market approach with our channel partners.”

Murphy says BlackLine has signed on more than 25 channel partners to date in regions around the world, including North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa.

Designed to help partners transform their business to fully capitalise on the revenue growth opportunity of the BlackLine platform, Murphy says the company is offering a range of services - from business planning, sales, marketing and enablement resources to training, education and certification.

“We have already began implementing channel marketing, training and support services on a global level, so partners can quickly address the needs of their customers,” he adds.
