​Dimension Data becomes first “non-telco” to deliver Cisco cloud conferencing platform

Dimension Data signs global partnership with fellow NTT Group company, Arkadin, to deliver Cisco’s WebEx Cloud Connected Audio (CCA-SP) platform.

Dimension Data has signed a global partnership with fellow NTT Group company, Arkadin, to deliver Cisco’s WebEx Cloud Connected Audio (CCA-SP) platform.

Terms of the deal sees the company become the first global non-telco or conferencing service provider to offer this solution worldwide, cementing Dimension Data’s position within the conferencing space.

Together, the two organisations will provide a single managed conferencing service that caters to voice, web, audio and video.

“Cisco’s WebEx Cloud Connected Audio (CCA-SP) platform enables an optimal WebEx experience via quality of service connections to Cisco’s global WebEx Cloud,” says Ian Heard, Group Communications Principal Director: Collaboration, Dimension Data.

“Many service providers protect their underlying investment bases, which stifles the organisation’s ability to unify the user experience, reduce cost and risk of delivery, and accelerate innovation.

“The partnership with Arkadin delivers another tool that the NTT group can deliver to enable our clients to embark on a transformation journey on their terms by bringing together their communications tower silos into a unified user strategy - and quickly.”

Heard says Dimension Data will leverage its expertise and skills in planning, deploying and managing complex UC infrastructures for clients, while Arkadin, through its cloud-based model, will provide a fast deployment cycle for delivering a high ROI over a short period of time.

“Dimension Data and Arkadin already have a tight ‘in-field’ partnership,” adds David Lallemand, Vice President of Strategic Alliances, Arkadin.
