2degrees boosts business credentials with Kiwi construction firm deal

As 2degrees has matured as a total telco network, businesses are increasingly seeing it as a viable option for larger enterprise customers.

New Zealand construction company Hawkins has switched to 2degrees, moving its 800-plus connections to deliver on its 3G, 4G and VOIP service needs.

“As project managers on some of New Zealand’s largest construction and infrastructure developments, we need reliability and great customer service which we are confident we have with 2degrees,” says Hannes Van Zyl, CIO, Hawkins.

“We also wanted to work with a team that was a good fit with ours. Like 2degrees, Hawkins is a challenger brand - we are both hungry, focused on changing the game and we put clients needs front and centre.”

Van Zyl says 2degrees was able to offer a “total team approach” to the business.

In addition, Van Zyl says 2degrees has also put reporting systems in place to give the company more control over costs and better visibility throughout the network.

“Hawkins is an exciting, fast-paced business that relies on communications technology to deliver great projects,” adds Todd Scoble, Head of Business Sales, 2degrees.

“We have developed a very close working partnership together that is already delivering great outcomes for Hawkins and we’re looking forward to being a part of its continuing business success story.”

Scoble says as 2degrees has matured as a total telco network, businesses are increasingly seeing it as a viable option for larger enterprise customers.

“Our business customers really appreciate 2degrees’ fresh approach and great service which is why we’re continuing to attract some really exciting businesses of all sizes,” he adds.

Other business to join 2degrees recently include Lewis Road Cremery, Juicy Rentals, Whittakers and EcoStore.
