Dell expands South Island channel program with CCL partnership

“We’re seeing Dell really embrace the New Zealand market in terms of its channel strategy which has created a great opportunity for us."

Dell has announced Computer Concepts Limited (CCL) as its preferred partner for business IT equipment in New Zealand’s South Island, the deal came into effect in February this year.

The move follows similar agreements in other markets worldwide and builds on Dell’s existing PartnerDirect Program, meaning partners and customers can now access Dell’s products quicker through the CCL.

Dell has selected CCL as their partner based on its strong reputation in the market as a trusted and capable, client focused partner.

“Dell is continuing to invest in the channel, and partnerships with channel partners like CCL increase our ability to pursue our long-term strategy, providing customers with the best choice, solutions and support,” says James Arnold, General Manager, Dell New Zealand.

At present, Arnold says Dell has transformed its business model over the years to a multi-channel approach, which creates value for partners.

“We’re seeing Dell really embrace the New Zealand market in terms of its channel strategy which has created a great opportunity for us,” adds Andrew Allan CEO, CCL.

“Dell subsequently proposed a channel model in the South Island, which included migrating some existing Dell clients over to a channel partner.

“This has helped us maintain the independence we require and we have complete confidence in the portfolio we will be offering from Dell.

“The onboarding and training provided by Dell has enabled us to bring our team up to speed quickly and we now have a dedicated Dell team with Dell’s products successfully integrated into our portfolio of offerings.”

Allan says the majority of Dell customer’s identified for transition have done so with CCL investing in a dedicated team of Dell experts to make this transition smooth for existing and new customers.

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
