Trend Micro unveils Windows 10 security portfolio

“At the end of the day, we are committed to securing individuals’ ability to do things online safely."

Trend Micro has launched Trend Micro Security 10, a security and privacy solution fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 10, which launched earlier this week.

According to the software security provider, the new version’s security features are device and operating system agnostic, featuring protection from exposing private information or becoming susceptible to data-theft and other malicious online threats on all devices.

“It’s a fact of life that all laptops, smart phones, PC’s and tablets are susceptible to data theft, and stealing information from one’s digital life is easier than most people think,” says Tim Falinski, director, consumer, Trend Micro Australia and New Zealand.

“People are accessing the Internet anytime and anywhere. It’s hard to know if your information is being shared without permission.

“We want to ensure our customers are protected in this fast-changing world, providing them with advanced protection without disruption.”

With the growing number of malicious threats, breaches, and hacks, Falinski claims that Trend Micro Security 10 blocks viruses, spyware, worms and Trojans, preventing devices from becoming infected.

In addition, Trend Micro Security 10 has also added additional features to protect against the increasing ransomware and online banking threats consumers are facing.

The following Trend Micro Security 10 products are compatible with the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system: Premium Security 10, Maximum Security 10, Internet Security 10, and Antivirus Security 10.

Falinski says current Trend Micro customers can upgrade for free to this latest version while the previous version, Trend Micro Security 2015, is also Windows 10 compatible, if updated before the user upgrades to Windows 10.

“At the end of the day, we are committed to securing individuals’ ability to do things online safely,” Falinski adds.

“We know users are socialising, banking and working more online, and our solutions make it possible to do these things with the confidence that Trend Micro Security 10 is helping you stay safe.”
