New Kiwi resellers in sight as Connector Systems signs up Purple WiFi

“Customers are demanding more from their WiFi as the technology becomes more widely accepted and deployed."

Connector Systems New Zealand has today announced a new partnership with Purple WiFi, a leader in guest WiFi marketing and analytics to the New Zealand market.

Purple WiFi provides marketing and analytics technology for the retail market, they have numerous case studies and customer examples where they have enabled shopping centres and retail chains to better understand their customer demographics.

Purple WiFi’s guest WiFi hotspot software enables detailed data capture through multiple social media platforms. The Vendor agnostic Purple WiFi software is then able to reveal a statistical overview of customers’ online activity specifically relating to any particular physical space.

“Purple WiFi provides an advanced analytics and marketing engine allowing a venue visitor to connect to a WiFi hotspot using their existing social media login details,” says Saurabh Madan, Sales Manager A/NZ, Purple WiFi.

“We partner with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter to enable this. The reports that Purple generate for the venue owner are extremely insightful.

“For example, Purple’s analytics engine can help retailers understand demographics of their visitors connected to WiFi and provides insights around their gender mix, age groups, venue visit trends and so on.”

Madan says Purple WiFi is scalable, cloud-based guest WiFi software, offering shoppers free WiFi through social login.

In return, venues benefit from real-time analytical insights, customer demographic data, information on visitors movements around the space, plus an engagement tool to send targeted communications to customers whilst they are in, or moving around the venue.

Growth is being seen in all sectors, most notably in hospitality (where people have time to spend online), retail (where footfall tracking is essential), healthcare (offering transparency around service and communication) and entire cities moving towards the Internet of Things.

The service is also growing quickly with 2400 venues running across 88 countries and two million users.

“Customers are demanding more from their WiFi as the technology becomes more widely accepted and deployed,” adds Mark Dasent, General Manager, Connector Systems.

“Technologies like Purple WiFi now change the whole conversation. This is a great opportunity for resellers to change the conversation with customers and make existing Wi-Fi hardware work smarter.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer the Purple WiFi brand to the reseller channel and to help unlock enormous potential benefits to end customers. We can’t wait to get started.”

Purple WiFi has also intensified its focus on the carrier market, developing a service provider portal that delivers a credible offload solution.

“We are delighted that Connector Systems is now a distributor of Purple WiFi,” adds Richard Stangroom, Global Distribution Director, Purple WiFi.

“Connector Systems is a well-known brand in the industry and our strategy continues to be focused around working with trusted names to ensure WiFi users can access reliable and free WiFi while the business customers get something back in return.”

Dasent adds that Connector Systems is always interested in talking to new reseller partners in the Retail, Hospitality, Event Management, Education and Healthcare spaces.
