Opengear growth soars in A/NZ

Looks into engaging with tier two partners

Critical infrastructure management company, Opengear, has been on the growth tangent as product demand heats up in the market.

Opengear A/NZ sales manager, Brendan Walsh, said it has been experiencing 50 per cent growth year-on-year for the past five years, but it was exceeding that level this year.

“We’re being driven by our clients ,which is fantastic,” Walsh said.

In the local market, Opengear has about 12 premium partners and about 20 high end partners, Walsh said.

Opengear is also working towards increasing its engagement with tier two partners in Australia.

“In the US, they’ve started to introduce tier two engagement and that’s something we’re going to be pushing for in Australia,” he said.

Opengear recently held its global conference and released a new breed of products called the Resilience Gateway, which increases network uptime at branch offices and remote sites.

It uses Opengrear’s Smart OOB and Failover to Cellular, to enable access, monitoring and control of edge routers, servers, switches, firewalls, PDUs and UPS’s.

The Opengear 4G Resilience Gateway will work all telcos across the A/NZ region including Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Spark NZ and Vodafone NZ.
