Plenty more Cloud in the Sea as Connector signs NZ distie deal

“We work only with vendors and partners who are considered among the very best in their category."

Connector Systems New Zealand has announced a partnership with global firm Seagate, bringing the company’s cloud and storage solutions to new partners across the country.

Terms of the deal will see Connector Systems offer Seagate Cloud Systems and Solutions and Seagate Network Attached Storage (NAS) to partners, enabling organisations to manage the digital data explosion and deliver on next-generation workloads.

While Seagate NAS (Network Attached Storage) securely stores critical files, it also allows stakeholders 24/7 access to share and manage projects from anywhere.

“We work only with vendors and partners who are considered among the very best in their category,” says Mark Dasent, Country Manager A/NZ, Connector Systems.

“Our priority is to continually provide new and unique opportunities that will benefit our partners.

“And, for this reason, it is hugely exciting to work with Seagate. Seagate has had vast experience at the forefront of the worldwide storage market.

“And now, they lead the way extending innovation from the device into the information infrastructure, onsite and in the cloud.”

With this sort of pedigree, Dasent believes Seagate is an "integral addition" to the distributor’s storage and backup portfolio.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer the brand and its huge benefits to our customers,” he adds.

In total, 28 per cent of local businesses faced a cyber attack last year, with the number in New Zealand set to rise in 2017. Yet amidst the sensationalism, media headlines and ongoing high profile breaches, confusion floods the channel, as partners seek strategic methods to combat rising sophistication from attackers. In sizing up the security spectrum, this Reseller News roundtable - in association with F5 Networks, Kaspersky Lab, Tech Data, Sophos and SonicWall - assessed where the channel sweet spot is within the New Zealand channel.
