Security vendor, Webroot, has crowned Robbie Upcroft as its new managing director in Asia Pacific.

He takes on the new post following Crispin Kerr’s departure last month. Kerr left after four years at the helm, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, development in the region, marketing and channel relationships.

Upcroft was most recently the general manager for distributor, Arrow ECS.

The distributor has not found a replacement for him as yet.

Upcroft's resume includes working for Intel Security (called McAfee at the time), as its SMB and distribution sales manager and 11 years at Microsoft in various senior roles including channel manager for distribution and SaaS hosting.

More to follow.
