Avnet picks up Delta Energy Systems

Looks to challenge Schneider Electric with greener, more efficient UPS systems

Avnet has picked up Taiwanese power management solutions vendor, Delta Energy Systems, to push the company's UPS (uninterruptable power supply) portfolio in Australia, and provide a viable alternative to energy supply heavyweights such as Schneider Electric.

"Delta’s innovative UPS range, including the HPH, RT and GAIA Series, delivers best of breed technology, designed with high power performance and efficiency in mind. We look forward to bringing these reliable solutions to our partners within Australia," said Avnet A/NZ vice-president and general manager, Darren Adams.

Avnet will be using Delta's products to take aim at the power management market, particularly focused around datacentre infrastructure solutions, especially amongst the small-medium end of the market.

Delta claims the HPH Series boasts AC-AC efficiency of up to 96 per cent, low input current harmonic distortion (less than 3 per cent). Avnet says that HPH's features, such as double-conversion topology, its compact design and superior power performance, will be ideal for clients looking to produce reliable and well protected IT loads.

“We look forward to establishing a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with Avnet that is built on loyalty and trust," said Delta Energy Systems Australia director, Allen Chao.

The clean green focus of Delta's products has seen it win a placement in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for fourconsecutive years. It now has sales offices with manufacturing facilities and R&D centres in Taiwan, China, USA, Europe, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, India, Mexico and Brazil.
