Software applications provider Bravura Solutions outgrows Auckland office

Software applications provider Bravura Solutions has relocated its Auckland, New Zealand team into new, larger premises to accommodate growth.

Software applications provider Bravura Solutions has relocated its Auckland, New Zealand team into new, larger premises to accommodate growth.

One of Bravura’s eight global research and development centres, the Auckland office serves as a hub for Bravura’s APAC operations and, in particular, for Sonata development, where John Waddy, Bravura’s Global Product Development Director is based.

The expanded Auckland team will support the growing market demand for unified wealth management and life insurance platforms across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, as well as providing development services to Bravura projects in Europe.

“Bravura is a long-standing technology provider in New Zealand,” says Jason Tong, COO APAC, Bravura.

“More than 50 per cent of all KiwiSaver accounts are administered on Bravura platforms and a significant portion of Sonata R&D continues to be focused here.

“We have expanded our local team as a result of the increasing demand for Sonata services, both in New Zealand and in international markets.”

Bravura established a presence in New Zealand in 2005, opening offices in Auckland and Wellington following the acquisition of Tacit.

In early 2014 the company has approximately 50 staff in New Zealand, but with increasing demand for Sonata services that number has now more than doubled.

“We already have 12 contracted Sonata engagements underway, and last year, we signed a contract with Trustees Executors Limited, New Zealand’s largest supplier of third party back office financial services,” Tong adds.

“Trustees Executors selected Sonata, Bravura’s unified wealth management platform, to be delivered as a managed service, to replace Talisman, one of Bravura’s heritage wealth management applications.

“This follows our earlier success in New Zealand with Partners Life that uses Sonata as its core life insurance policy administration platform.

“Within the first few months of 2015, Bravura will be delivering Sonata as a managed service to strategic clients in New Zealand for both life insurance and wealth management purposes.”

Now located on the North Shore in Takapuna, Bravura also relocated its Wellington office in October to larger premises, which Tong believes is testament to the company’s continued growth.

“The enhancement of our professional services and software development capacity in New Zealand is a clear sign of our commitment to our product and service offerings,” he adds.

“With a strong New Zealand presence, a growing pipeline of opportunity and considerable business momentum, Bravura’s expansion in Auckland is an indication of both past success and confidence in the future.”
