"Exceptional" NZ growth key as Veeam targets billion-dollar business

“The exceptional growth we’ve seen in the New Zealand market shows that Veeam is on track to realising our global goal of becoming a billion dollar business by 2018."

Veeam Software has reported total bookings revenue of US$389 million, representing a 40 per cent increase over the previous fiscal year, in the company's FY 2014 results released this morning.

In addition, the fourth quarter of 2014 marks Veeam’s 28th consecutive quarter in which total bookings revenue has experienced double-digit percentage sequential growth, with the New Zealand market especially singled out for high-praise.

Locally, Veeam has seen a 35 per cent increase in total revenue bookings for 2014, while new license bookings revenue grew by 37 per cent year-over-year (YoY).

In addition, the number of new ProPartners in New Zealand also grew by 40%.

“The exceptional growth we’ve seen in the New Zealand market shows that Veeam is on track to realising our global goal of becoming a billion dollar business by 2018,” says Charles Clarke, Technical Director for APAC, Veeam Software.

Regionally, Veeam’s business in APAC grew by 45% in total revenue bookings and new license bookings revenue grew by 39%.

Other key Veeam highlights in New Zealand and APAC include further customer growth, with the company reporting a 14% increase in Net New Customers in New Zealand in 2014.

Increasing demand for Veeam solutions has resulted in the company increasing its Net New Customers by 25% in the APAC region for 2014.

Veeam has a total of 2,784 ProPartners across APAC to date, which includes 264 ProPartners in New Zealand, making up Veeam’s total worldwide partner base of 29,000 ProPartners.

“Our solutions have enabled businesses to address the needs of the Always-On Business so they can break free from the regular nine-to-five working hours," Clarke adds.

"IT in organisations are expected to make applications and data available to all stakeholders every minute of every day and deliver business continuity and IT resilience.

"We are greatly encouraged by our results for 2015 and remain committed to being the provider of choice for businesses that seek to meet the demands of Availability for the Modern Data Center."

On a global level, Ratmir Timashev, CEO, Veeam says in today's environment the modern business operates 24/7 and downtime is not accepted – ever – so business leaders are looking for technology partners that can help them deliver the Always-On Business.

"Veeam’s success in 2014 clearly illustrates that we are delivering innovative availability solutions that solve real-life business challenges,” he says.

“Our release of Veeam Availability Suite v8 was even more successful than we had anticipated, with more than a third of our customers upgrading within the first 60 days. It’s a testament to the strong demand for solutions that can deliver data center availability.

"With close to eight million virtual machines worldwide ensured by Veeam availability solutions, we are transforming the modern data center by bringing together virtualization, cloud and storage technologies, and our continued growth illustrates the success of our vision and execution.

"2014 was a great year, and we fully expect our momentum to continue, carrying us toward our goal of $1 billion in annual revenue by 2018.”
