New Zealand mobile marketing company VMob has joined the ranks of the world's leading technology providers as it launches into the Technovation Solutions Centre in Las Vegas.

The multi-year agreement will place VMob’s platform and products in the hands of hundreds of hospitality, retail, healthcare and travel company heavy-weights from around the globe, all in real-time and in the environment they would be experienced by users.

Located in a dedicated facility, the Technovation Centre was launched in 2013 and houses fully-operational hotel suite, restaurant, bar, casino floor, retail store, hospital room and back-office environments.

Peg McGregor, CEO and founder of the Technovation Solutions Centre, says industries like accommodation providers are experiencing stronger demand from hotel guests for mobile, intuitive and personalised information coupled with a business focus on growing ancillary revenue and enhance loyalty programmes.

“The real-time analytics, opportunity to build a relevant relationship with guests and ability to personalise and deploy tailored information offered by VMob has been very impressive to the major players in the hospitality industry who have seen the platform in action here at the Technovation Centre," she says.

“As guests continue to demand smarter, intuitive technology to enhance their experience, they are becoming more interested in relevance and content, and less concerned with the previously-held apprehension around marketing to personal mobile devices.”

VMob CEO and founder Scott Bradley says the decline in traditional revenue is the perfect motivation for big hospitality brands to refocus on ancillary revenue opportunities.

“The landscape for major hotel and hospitality brands is evolving at a tremendous rate," he adds.

"Millennial travellers in particular are now demanding entertainment, retail and dining options from hotels and resorts.

"To compete in such an aggressive industry it’s critical that brands are embracing intelligent, dynamic and consumer-focused mobile solutions.”

As a strategic partner for the Technovation Solutions Centre, Microsoft has also committed support and participation in Technovation.
