Spanning Cloud Apps has partnered with Fronde to bring the Cloud backup and recovery firm’s Service-as-a-Service (SEaaS) to Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).
The Texas-based company said the partnership meets the growing demand from Australian and New Zealand businesses for additional protection against data loss as they adopt SaaS applications such as Google Apps and Salesforce.
The system is designed to give customers an extra layer of protection to mitigate risk of data loss caused by user error, hackers or system error and to improve business efficiency.
New Zealand-based Fronde said it sees the Cloud-to-Cloud backup service as a natural extension of its Cloud product portfolio.
Fronde chief technology officer, James Valentine, said A/NZ companies are moving to the Cloud faster than anywhere else on the planet.
“This means greater importance must be placed on offering clients a comprehensive backup and recovery solution to protect their essential corporate data.”
“The decision to add Spanning to our product portfolio was an easy one as it offers the only solution capable of providing - at the user level - complete visibility into the backup and recovery process. This additional layer of backup puts the end user in control of their own data recovery, should it ever be needed, empowering them to manage their own data risks while freeing up IT administration teams,” he said.
Spanning vice-president of sales, Garrett Jones, said the firm is keen to build relationships with Australian and New Zealand businesses because of the region’s history of being hungry for bleeding edge technologies.
By working closely with Fronde to help them bring Spanning Backup to their Google Apps and Salesforce customers, we expect this combination to be market-leading.”
Spanning SaaS Cloud protection is available now through Fronde.
