Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has appointed Kiwa Stevenson as its director of services for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).
The vendor said the role is key to its growth strategy on the back of heavy Cloud services demand.
Stevenson will support key channel partnerships, and assist customers in switching from legacy environments to Big Data management, content platforms, and public, private, and hybrid Cloud infrastructure.
“The technology industry is at a key inflection point, with traditional ways of doing business becoming less relevant against this next wave of Cloud and the associated economics of technology consumption,” Stevenson said.
“Cloud services are a natural evolution for HDS and a key part of our growth strategy. We have a very strong value proposition to assist our partners and our customers to achieve the economic and technology benefits of Cloud.”
Stevenson will report to A/NZ regional vice-president and general manager, Neil Evans.
“As our business continues to grow, our focus will continue to be about providing our customers with the highest quality solutions, underpinned by great customer service,” Evans said.
“Kiwa brings a great depth of experience leading strong service teams within the technology sector, and we are confident he will serve our clients’ needs, drive growth across the services portfolio and support the transformation of our business.”
Stevenson joins HDS with 15 years in the technology industry. Before HDS, he spent five years in senior roles at Dell, most recently as infrastructure and Cloud computing director for it’s a/NZ operations.
