Distribution Central adds SanDisk’s data centre acceleration solutions to ANZ portfolio

Distribution Central will distribute select SanDisk data centre acceleration solutions in Australia and New Zealand, in a move announced to the market today.

SanDisk’s flash-based products deliver solutions for data and workload acceleration through their Fusion ioMemory solutions, SanDisk ION Accelerator all flash appliance, Fusion ioVDI and Fusion ioTurbine software, and other select solutions.

“Data centres around the world are being transformed by the economic and performance benefits of flash storage,” says Jesse Zhang, vice president of Asia Pacific Commercial Sales and Support at SanDisk.

“Distribution Central’s understanding of the Australia and New Zealand enterprise channel ecosystem makes them a strong partner to further expand the availability of SanDisk’s leading enterprise solutions, as well as strengthens our ability to meet the demands of the Australian and New Zealand enterprise markets."

Distribution Central has grown from $1.6 million in FY2004 to more than $275 million in FY2014 in revenue, currently employing 120 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

“End users are increasingly looking to consolidate their data centre footprints and embrace the latest technology advancements such as software defined networking, cloud, big data analytics and virtualisation,” adds Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

“SanDisk’s data centre acceleration solutions complement our existing data centre technology portfolio and supported by our channel services, partners are well placed to deliver real business benefits for their customers in the changing data centre market.”
