Gigamon signs VARs to support Arrow distribution partnership

VMtech, Green Light, and DeployPartners appointed to package vendor’s Visibility Fabric

Gigamon signed Arrow ECS as distributor for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) in September 2013 as one of the first steps in developing a dynamic channel organisation to address the specific needs of the region.

The architecture vendor has now partnered value-added resellers (VARs), VMtech, Green Light, and DeployPartners, to supplement that agreement.

“The transformation within datacentres due to virtualisation and Big Data are driving high demand for the unique capabilities of our Visibility Fabric solution,” Gigamon Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) channel director, Pascal Fanton, said.

“In parallel with the technology, having a strong network of channel partners to reach our customers is a key component of our current and future success.”

Gigamon will therefore rely on the distributor and new resellers to support business development, and in turn cater for an increased breadth of customers across telecommunications, federal government, financial services, and transport.

Arrow EMEA and APAC vice-president, Jean-Loup Desamaison-Cognet, said Gigamon’s solution complement many of the distributor’s existing security and Internet technology solutions.

VMtech CEO, Len Findlay, said, “In line with a reduction in overall telecommunications costs in the Australian market, our customer networks are transforming into higher capacity, low-latency, distributed environments. As a result it is becoming more challenging for protection tools such as firewalls, anti-fraud and monitoring services to keep up with the pace without impeding the overall host connectivity experience.”
