Fortinet reiterated its commitment to the channel during its partner event at The Star in Sydney.
A/NZ and South Pacific vice-president, Kevin Dyson, said partners have been vital to the security vendor’s success in the Australian market.
“We will continue to work closely with our partners to deliver the best network security solutions to enterprises around the nation,” he said.
Fortinet entered the Australian market in 2002 with less than 10 staff, and since then the team has grown to 35 employees.
“I am proud of the achievements of the Fortinet team in Australia, especially over the last year,” Dyson said.
Genevieve White was recently promoted to sales director to bolster Fortinet’s channel, while Paul Howe and Phillip Gebara were appointed as major account managers for the Northern and Southern regions respectively.
The appointments come as Fortinet unveiled six new products that connect and integrate security and wireless for retail, branch offices and distributed enterprises.
