Elisha joins Pivotal as new CTO

Simon Elisha leaves AWS for Pivotal role

Platform-as-a-Service provider, Pivotal, has hired Simon Elisha as its new chief technology officer (CTO) and senior manager of field engineering for A/NZ.

Elisha previously worked for the A/NZ arm of Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its principal solution architect for three years. Prior to that, he worked for Cisco, Hitachi Data Systems and Veritas.

In his new role with Pivotal, Elisha will be focusing on working with customers and understanding the latest technology industry trends as well as leading a team of software engineers.

The vendor is looking to hire more pre-sales and post sales engineers.

In a blog, Elisha said he will be working closely with the Pivotal Cloud Foundry team to drive more capabilities and innovation.

“A lot of my time in previous roles was spent advising customers on how to architect their systems and build their development and deployment tool chains,” Elisha said. “With Pivotal Cloud Foundry, we can help accelerate this process by removing a lot of that complexity and replacing it with total choice as to where software is deployed for any given purpose.”
