Inland Revenue looks for partner to supply BPA tool

Inland Revenue is looking specifically for a software provider or supplier who can provide the BPA tool and also offer professional services around it.

Inland Revenue is seeking a partner to supply a business process analysis tool to support its business transformation programme.

The RFP (request for proposal) calls for proposals for the supply of a business process analysis tool (BPA), to model and manage business processes and to test the efficiency and effectiveness of transitional and future business processes during transformational phases.

Inland Revenue is looking specifically for a software provider or supplier who can provide the BPA tool and also offer professional services around its successful introduction and migration of existing process maps and frameworks.

Deputy commissioner of change, Greg James said, "This software tool will allow the organisation to create a catalogue of Inland Revenue’s business processes and will provide an insight into every process that exists in the organisation.

“By mapping all of our current processes, we can better identify where improvements can be made, simplify processes and ultimately make it easier and faster for people and businesses to get their taxes right,” said James.

“For example, when it comes to tax returns the tool will show how they’re processed across the organisation, what data is required and which customers and suppliers are impacted.”

“The search for a partner is just one of several opportunities during our business transformation.”

“Business transformation is not worth doing if it only makes Inland Revenue’s life easier. It must be good for taxpayers and businesses that grapple with compliance and red tape. Everything we’re doing is about simplifying so it’s fairer and easier for all. If we’re not focused on this, we’re missing an opportunity,” said James.
