2X Software to leverage distributor’s reach for channel expansion

Melbourne-based value-added the distributor, Connector Systems, has partnered with 2X Software across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) to bolster its virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and thin client play.

2X is a Maltese software vendor which develops virtual desktop and application delivery, remote access and corporate mobility solutions. The company has offices in Malta, USA, Germany, UK, Australia, and Japan.

According to Connector Systems Australia country manager, Andrew Craze, 2X is the top alternative to software giant, Citrix, and its ApplicationServer XG can deliver enterprise-grade functionality at a significantly lower price point than common brands.

“Not only does 2X develop innovative products such as 2XOS for converting desktop PCs into thin clients, they create solutions, such as 2XLifeCyclePlus, designed to prolong the life of legacy Windows XP Pcs,” Craze said.

“These are real solutions borne out of real business needs, and exactly what we like to offer our reseller partners.”

2X Asia-Pacific (APAC) software sales director, Simonetta Mercieca, said Connector Systems will allow 2X to expand its reach in A/NZ by targeting the right channel partner base in remote application and desktop delivery, as well as virtualisation and private Cloud computing.

“In the coming year we will focus on training partners to transfer knowledge and skills that would enable them to win more deals and service more and more customers effectively,” Mercieca said.

“We will also be working closely with Connector Systems to expand our channel footprint and run several campaigns to enable channel partners and resellers under our brand.”

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
