UPDATED: Juniper Networks replaces APAC senior VP

Wagner’s departure comes five months after his initial appointment

Juniper Networks has confirmed it has replaced Asia-Pacific senior vice-president, Hansjoerg Wagner, with APAC service provider sector vice-president, Wendy Koh.

The move comes just five months since Wagner was first appointed to the role in October 2013.

The Silicon Valley-headquartered networking hardware vendor would not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Wagner’s departure.

Wagner also could not be reached for comment. ARN understands it was an internal decision.

Juniper Networks has also confirmed Koh will operate under the title of APAC, Greater China and Japan sales group vice-president.

She will be responsible for all aspects of the company's sales and operations across the geographies, spanning customer engagement, sales development, training and enablement, strategic planning and revenue growth.

Koh will be based in the vendor’s Singapore office, and will report to chief customer officer and executive vice-president, Vincent Molinaro.

Koh's appointment follows the hire of Juniper Networks' new chief executive officer (CEO), Shaygan Kheradpir, who started in the role on January 1 this year.

Kheradpir took the reins from Kevin Johnson who announced his retirement in July 2013. He was selected due to his proven record of successful business operations and technology leadership.

Kheradpir joined Juniper Networks from banking and financial services company, Barclays PLC, where he most recently held the role of chief operations and technology officer, while also serving as a member of its executive committee.
