As NextDC general manager of channels he will focus on channel partner revenues as they transition customers to its datacentre-as-a-service (DCaaS) portfolio.
Martin told ARN that the new job is similar to his past roles in that it centres around core infrastructure.
He also said the primary reason he joined NextDC is that it is "in the middle of Cloud."
"NextDC is the best environment for any organisation," he said. "Not only can a customer host their private or hybrid Cloud within NextDC, but more importantly, many of our partners are hosting their Cloud offering, managed services, and infrastructure in our environment."
Martin claims this provides more options and flexibility for the channel.
Martin left Adobe in December 2013 following a two-year stint with the company.
Adobe Asia-Pacific (APAC) head of channel sales, Peter McAlpine, credited Martin with steering A/NZ to become the leader in the adoption of Creative Cloud (CC) for teams.
Under Martin's leadership, 69 per cent of customers in the region selected CC over Adobe's perpetual offerings, topping the global average of 46 per cent.
Muralee Kanagaratnam took over from Martin following his departure.
