Adobe's Revel photo-editing app comes to Android

Users can upload unlimited images for free the first month, after that, uploads are limited

Adobe has made its Revel photo-app available for Android, allowing users to share and edit photos on their Android devices.

Revel is an app meant for sharing, storing and managing photos and videos. Users can create albums, share photos and videos via social media and edit pictures as well as add captions and comments to the photos, Adobe said in a blog post announcing Revel's availability for Android.

Revel is also integrated with the Mac and Windows applications Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 to allow users to upload photos to Revel's cloud in order to access edited photos on the move. Files can also be uploaded to revel from Photoshop Express, GroupPix, VideoBite, Lightroom and iPhoto, Adobe said.

The app can also be used to create a group library in order to share certain pictures only with family or a group of friends. Users can control who can view, add, organize, and edit the images in such a group, Adobe said.

Photos and videos that are imported to Revel are stored in Adobe's cloud and can be accessed via the app that, asides from Android, is also available for iOS, Mac and Windows 8. Images can also be accessed via the browser, Adobe said, adding that the files are automatically synced across all devices.

Revel is available for free with unlimited imports for the first 30 days after which users are limited to up to 50 photo and video uploads a month. A subscription version with unlimited imports is available for US$5.99 a month or $59.99 a year.

When a user decides to quit the service Adobe will store files for up to two years, Adobe said on its website, adding that users can always remove photos and videos via the apps or in the browser.
