LiveOps opens new Sydney datacentre

Part of expansion plan for Australia and New Zealand

LiveOps Incorporated has announced the opening of its new datacentre in Sydney.

The Cloud contact and customer service company said the centre will better serve the needs of its growing Australian and New Zealand (A/NZ) customer base and partners.

LiveOps Chairman and chief executive officer, Marty Beard, said the datacentre will support the company’s plans to expand its market share in the region.

“LiveOps has achieved tremendous growth in Australia and New Zealand over the last year and we’re pleased to open a local datacentre which will ensure that LiveOps has the right infrastructure to maintain this expansion.”

The company provides services to clients that facilitate real-time interactions with customers across multiple channels including voice, email, Web chat, social and text messaging. The company has more than 300 global customers with around 65 of those in the A/NZ market. Its local customers include Symantec, Amway and ADT.

LiveOps managing director A/NZ, Kristen Pimpini, said the company had a very strong pipeline for both customers and partners interested in services advanced by the new data centre.

“The launch of the Sydney datacentre now adds an extra layer of assurance to LiveOps’ existing multinational as well as regional Australia and New Zealand customers, ensuring that they have continuous high-speed and secure access to our Cloud-based voice and data network, regardless of their physical location or the time of the day,” Pimpini said.

Equinix is the global provider for LiveOps’ datacentres, including the latest installment in Sydney. The company claims the centre has capacity for 1000 calls, local storage for call recordings, failover capacity to the company’s datacentre in Singapore and virtualised infrastructure machines.
