Oracle Partner Asparona has opened a training facility in central Wellington.
According to the company, which runs training and certification for Oracle business apps, the new centre is part of its expansion plans, with the investment being made to accommodate the growing number of organisations using Oracle technology.
“Asparona will be able to host an international training session in one room, piggy-back on an offsite event in another, all while running our normal in-class courses” said Asparona’s NZ education manager, Mark Rosser. “But while new and clever education facilities in the heart of Wellington's CBD add to the learning experience it’s ultimately our incredible trainers who are bringing Oracle to life for our students.”
The facilities span approximately 600 square metres, with more than 150 students projected to sit in on the 50 training courses offered over the next six months. Asparona has a catalogue of over 1500 Oracle University courses available.
The average training course runs from 2 to 5 days and is centred around hands-on labs to support lectures created by Oracle and delivered by subject-matter experts. All training is backed by Oracle’s certification programme.
"It’s exciting to see an Oracle partner expanding and investing in new facilities,” said Robert Gosling, MD, Oracle NZ.
“The opening of Asparona’s new Oracle Education Centre in central Wellington will help our customers leverage their investment in Oracle technologies, providing them a secure, state-of-the art training centre where they can advance and refine their skills, and bring this knowledge back to their organisations.
