Starting January 2014, Ross Parker will take over as GM of Skinny, Telecom’s mobile prepaid businesses targeting price sensitive consumers.

Parker joins Skinny from Vodafone Australia where he was the Executive GM for prepay and, prior to that, the GM for pricing, devices and inventory.

Parker, who has 13 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, will take over from Paul Taylor, who recently decided to pursue other opportunities after leading Skinny through a period of change

Telecom Digital Ventures SVP for mobility, commerce, data and apps, Ed Hyde said, “Skinny's transformation from a youth-oriented brand to a mobile business with much broader appeal is well underway.

“With his proven experience in the prepaid market, Ross is well placed to continue to grow Skinny into a truly world class prepaid business.”

Skinny will continue to operate as part of Telecom Digital Ventures, the Telecom digital services and innovation unit.
