Local distributor to sell vendor’s motherboards and graphics cards

Electronics manufacturer, Asus, has expanded its channel foot print in New Zealand with the appointment of local IT company, Dove Electronics, as distributor.

The partnership will see Dove add Asus’ motherboards and graphics cards to its portfolio.

“Dove is a highly competent distributor that provides a personal knowledgeable service, and we are confident that they will meet the unique requirements of Asus resellers in NZ,” Asus Australia managing director, Mia Tsai, said.

Dove is a wholesale distributor of IT components and peripherals. IT carries a full product range from base components such as I/O cards and RAM, through to industrial automation solutions and communications equipment.

Asus also operates in NZ through Synnex and Altech.

In total, 28 per cent of local businesses faced a cyber attack last year, with the number in New Zealand set to rise in 2017. Yet amidst the sensationalism, media headlines and ongoing high profile breaches, confusion floods the channel, as partners seek strategic methods to combat rising sophistication from attackers. In sizing up the security spectrum, this Reseller News roundtable - in association with F5 Networks, Kaspersky Lab, Tech Data, Sophos and SonicWall - assessed where the channel sweet spot is within the New Zealand channel.
