WhiteGold to distribute Sourcefire in A/NZ

Distributor forms local partnership with security vendor

Sourcefire has appointed WhiteGold Solutions as its distributor in A/NZ.

The partnership comes in the wake of the security vendor securing distribution deals in other parts of Asia Pacific, such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

Sourcefire Asia Pacific regional director, Chris Wood, said that WhiteGold’s technical and security expertise, as well as its channel marketing capabilities, made it a good fit for the vendor.

“Even the most security diligent organisations are recognising that attacks are no longer an ‘if’ but a ‘when,’” he said.

“Technology and business leaders do not need to accept defeat, but they do need to accept that the game has changed.”

Wood said that WhiteGold, as well as the other recently appointed partners in Asia Pacific, share this approach to security.

Another consideration for partnering with WhiteGold was the distributor’s reach in the A/NZ region, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.

M.Tech has been appointed as Sourcefire’s distributor in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, while iValue Solutions will look after India.
