Realtech promotes Spicer to MD

Replaces Joanne hand who will lead SAP Business One division

SAP consulting services provider, Realtech, has promoted Andrew Spicer to the role of managing director.

Spicer replaces Joanne Hand who held the reigns for five years and is now moving to the position of SAP Business One general manager, where she will focus on growth opportunities in the SME market.

“Joanne has laid the foundations for a strong business with a healthy revenue growth,” Spicer said. “I look forward to building on that success by maintaining our positions as experts for SAP core technologies in NZ, while continuing to develop our Australian base and off-shore servicing model."

Moving forward, he said the NZ business will be refocused to further expand the company’s global capabilities in areas such as SAP HANA, Cloud environments with hybrid environment integration, and mobile working.

Spicer joined Realtech in 2011, and was previously responsible for the development of the company’s SAP enterprise business.

Before coming to Australia, he was with SAP in the UK.

Sizing up the NZ security spectrum - Where's the channel sweet spot?

From new extortion schemes, outside threats and rising cyber attacks, the art of securing the enterprise has seldom been so complex or challenging. With distance no longer a viable defence, Kiwi businesses are fighting to stay ahead of the security curve. In total, 28 per cent of local businesses faced a cyber attack last year, with the number in New Zealand set to rise in 2017. Yet amidst the sensationalism, media headlines and ongoing high profile breaches, confusion floods the channel, as partners seek strategic methods to combat rising sophistication from attackers. In sizing up the security spectrum, this Reseller News roundtable - in association with F5 Networks, Kaspersky Lab, Tech Data, Sophos and SonicWall - assessed where the channel sweet spot is within the New Zealand channel.
