Webroot’s growth in A/NZ is thanks to a rapidly expanding channel and partner network, according to Asia Pacific region managing director, Crispin Kerr.
The security vendor recently announced a 591 per cent year-over-year growth following the end of its 2013 fiscal year operations in June 30, which Kerr attributes to the expansion of the company’s channel activities.
“We attribute the success from the past year to our people, our products and our partners,” Kerr said.
“We are continuing to invest in all three areas, so we believe we are also well positioned for continued growth.”
Throughout the fiscal year, Kerr said the vendor worked on expanding its local presence by secured a number of channel partnerships, such as Sydney based distributor, Vadis Systems, and Queensland based managed service provider, Xari Group.
Kerr adds that the A/NZ region has responded well to the company’s Cloud based security services following the introduction in early 2012, and within the MSP segment, approximately 350 separate deals were closed throughout the year.
“Among the most prominent developments was our four year global agreement with Anittel to deploy Webroot’s protection to 10,000 customer endpoints,” Kerr said.
Kerr said Webroot’s local growth is in line with the company’s global results for the year, in which it attained the top market share position in the US retail security software category and surpassed one million users of its mobile security solutions
