BlueBerry IT celebrates five years of success

From the living room to a national business and the Netherlands

A company that began in a living room celebrates its fifth birthday this week and the good news is it is continuing to grow.

Nelson technology services provider, BlueBerry IT, which provides a wide range of IT support services for businesses of all sizes, credits its exponential growth to a growing demand for customised IT solutions.

Technical Director of BlueBerryIT, Richard Butler, said the birthday celebrations were an opportunity to reflect upon the company’s humble beginnings and honour successes to date.

“BlueBerryIT began from the living room of one of the former directors and has quickly become recognised as an industry leader, so we are looking forward to celebrating our fifth anniversary with everybody who has supported our journey so far,” says Butler.

“Achievements since our inception have included winning the Nelson Chamber of Commerce Emerging Business Award in 2009, and the Excellence in Service Award in 2011. Although we now have clients all around the world we are proud to be a wholly Nelson owned and operated enterprise.”

Business Development Manager, Allan Willoughby, said company growth is expected to continue.

“Our revenues grew from nothing into a six figure turnover within three years, and growth has continued at a steady pace since then,” says Willoughby.

“We are increasingly winning more and more business from large national franchise operators, which is great for the local economy, and we have a strategy in place to ensure we continue to develop.”

BlueBerryIT services companies throughout the South Island as well as Wellington, Auckland, Gisborne, Hamilton, Napier and The Netherlands.

Services provided range from support and maintenance, to Cloud computing, document workflow, design and installation, disaster recovery, internet telephony, and bespoke IT solutions customised for individual business requirements.

The company said that the core of its business is support, maintenance, consultancy and advice.
