New specialist recruitment business IC3D launches

Aims to help address CAD software skills issues across A/NZ

To help address skills shortage issues across A/NZ specifically with CAD software, the Central Innovation Group, has launched a specialist recruitment division, IC3D Recruitment Solutions.

The business will specialise in delivering technical recruitment solutions to clients in the engineering, building, construction, manufacturing and high technology sectors.

It will encompass the businesses of Intercad and Graphisoft Australia, which are also part of the Central Innovation Group.

The launch of the new division is the next phase in the transition from being software resellers to total solutions providers for Intercad and Graphisoft, which provide 3D solutions to the manufacturing and building industries across A/NZ.

“The shortage in highly skilled technical personnel in Australia has been well documented and vigorously discussed in recent months,” Central Innovation Group, joint CEO, Max Piper, said. “The IC3D group encompasses Intercad and Graphisoft, and it’s this deep industry knowledge that will enable this new business to fill the gaps for those companies struggling to identify and employ staff."

IC3D will work closely with universities and TAFEs across the country, and will also draw on an international network to help companies fill the skills shortage gap.

Ana Ferreira has been hired to head up the new division. She has previously worked within the engineering and architectural communities for more than 20 years, having begun her career as a consultant in the CAD and PDM systems industry. She also specialises in professional training and recruitment services.
