UtilityAP takes on MRO’s Maximo

UTILITYAP has been signed up as MRO Software’s reseller for the vendor’s Maximo product to the local deregulated utility industry.

UtilityAP’s Maarten van der Zeyden says the company has sold and supported a number of asset management products locally over the past 17 years. “But [we] see the new offerings from MRO as being a dimensional leap ahead in terms of user accessibility, ease of deployment and integration.”

Commenting on the benefits UtilityAP’s customers can expect from the product, van der Zeyden says Maximo will provide them with a good platform for operating. “Many of our infrastructure and utility customers are focusing on achieving industry/world best practice in their asset management and planning activities,” he says. “Maximo provides them with a stable and functional platform for effectively getting there. The regulated businesses in particular need to have a much deeper understanding of the costs involved in maintaining and developing their assets.”

UtilityAP provides solutions around strategic IT, financial, asset and works management, business information and executive reporting, business process transformations.

“A reseller agreement with UtilityAP was a logical expansion as they bring line of business expertise and knowledge that will help to expand Maximo in the New Zealand utilities sector,” says Adrian Hocking, MRO sales manager, Australia and New Zealand.
