Citrix boosts rewards amid shift to e-fulfilment

CITRIX has launched a rewards programme across New Zealand and Australia, which rewards partners that register deals and submit sales forecasts to channel managers early.

The networking software vendor has also announced a move towards “an inventory-less model”.

The Advisor Rewards programme was launched across the US and Europe earlier this year and has now been extended to this region.

Citrix ANZ channel manager Michael McGrath believes the new programme will enable partners to earn an extra 10% of margin.

“The Citrix Advisor Rewards programme is a key tool in rewarding our channel partners who are engaged in volume selling. It is about educating companies and identifying sales opportunities for customers and working closely with Citrix in developing those opportunities,” McGrath says.

Citrix claims its sales are already strong in New Zealand and the programme will help solutions partners to boost profits.

Citrix plans a road show across New Zealand in late August and September to promote the programme.

“It is the most exciting and innovative programme we have launched for channel partners in a long time,” McGrath says.

The software vendor also announced that it is moving away from shifting packaged goods to an all-electronic model.

“That means our partners do not carry costs from holding stock,” McGrath says. “When they place an order, we electronically deliver. The resellers have email and receive licensing codes. That activates the product that can be installed. They can download the product using electronic codes. Most resellers already have software on CDs for electronic download,” he says.

Citrix New Zealand has some 50 partners, including distributors Express Data and MPA. Gen-i, Datacom and Computerland are its top-end partners, with the vendor claiming a “healthy mix” of platinum, gold and silver partners, according to their commitment to Citrix.
