IM picks up Verbatim

VERBATIM has extended its reach in the New Zealand market with the addition of Ingram Micro as its second distributor here, alongside Tech Pacific.

The data storage vendor’s local representative, Susan Trow, says the appointment was designed to extend the brand’s availability and visibility to local resellers.

“Our aim is to expand the Verbatim brand in the country and Ingram Micro’s appointment will grow our customers’ choice,” she says. Trow also hopes that a second distributor will help address the perception that Verbatim only produces digital media, such as tapes, floppy disks, CDs and DVDs.

“Most people think of us as just media, but we have hardware and accessories.”

Apart from media, the company’s products include USB drives, memory cards, network storage devices and printer cartridges.
