Brimming with confidence ahead of major new product releases and burgeoning sales in the country, Front Range Solutions will appoint local staff and expand its reseller base in New Zealand.
The company’s CEO Michael McCloskey, who is in the country this week to meet partners and customers, says with new products on the way and over 120 Heat and GoldMine customers in New Zealand, Front Range needs to expand its support base here.
“We have come to the point where we need a direct presence in New Zealand. We will probably have a couple of people on the ground here in business development and support roles within the next 30 days,” he says.
In addition, McCloskey wants to recruit a wider range of partners to promote Front Range’s new modular IT Service Management (ITSM) suite, which is released tomorrow, and a new Infrastructure Management package due in April.
“The new products will be more sophisticated than the current range and we want to ensure we provide enough local support,” says McCloskey.
McCloskey aims to increase the company’s reseller base in New Zealand from four to 12 on the back of the new products.
Due to the more customisable and services intensive nature of the new offerings existing Front Range partners will need to undergo training before being certified to sell them. A training seminar for partners is scheduled for February.
According to McCloskey, the company’s channel business has doubled in the past year and he aims to push the Asia Pacific region’s share of global revenue from seven to 13% this year.
McCloskey took on the CEO role at Front Range about 18 months ago and travels to Front Range outposts around the world at least once every quarter.
