BRINGING with her a strong background in a channel organisation, Joanne Healey is excited about her new role at HP.
Recently appointed HP national sales manager, solution partner organisation, Healey describes the job as “one of those that rarely comes along”.
“I’ll be providing management and leadership to the HP channel sales team and will make sure that HP is doing every-thing it can for its channel partners,” she says.
Healey says the channel is an extension of HP and has spent her first days in the job assessing channel strategy and how to create greater success, through feedback from channel partners.
“I’ve been given my targets and they’re quite achievable; I’m certainly not sitting at my desk wondering what I’ve taken on,” she says.
While based in Wellington, Healey says she will travel regularly to catch up with her sales teams in Auckland and Christchurch.
Specifically, Healey will concentrate on growing the enterprise channel for HP advanced printers and high-end UNIX servers.
Formerly the Computerland Wellington sales manager, Healey says she already knows what channel partners want.
“I’ve just come from being a customer and can call on the experiences I’ve had with all the vendors, which means I know what the channel partners want.”
