FREE ink will continue to flow to Fuji Xerox Printers customers.
The company has extended a promotion that gives new owners of its Phaser 8400 colour printer a year’s supply of black ink to the end of its financial year on March 31.
The promotion was launched in December and resulted in stocks of the printer running out with the company hastily replenishing supplies.
New Zealand manager Craig Betts says the promotion aims to reduce the cost of colour printing by supplying the black ink at no charge.
“The response has been great, as customers receive $1,299 worth of ink, which is great value,” he says.
Customers can claim the supply of free ink directly from Fuji Xerox Printers after buying a new printer and will receive the year’s supply in a single batch. The quantity of the ink is calculated based on average business printing consumption in a year. “It should be enough to print 68,000 pages at 5% coverage, so companies that print less will have more than a year’s supply,” says Betts.
Meanwhile, Fuji Xerox Printers this week took about 30 of its local partners to the launch in Sydney and Melbourne of two new high-end colour printer models, but Betts was unable to reveal details of the new product at the time of going to print.
