Tse signs up with StorageTek

PROVING that its commitment to the local channel isn’t just hot air, StorageTek has appointed David Tse as New Zealand country manager.

Based in Auckland, Tse has responsibility for growing sales and management of StorageTek’s technical and pre-sales operations.

“It will be my job to get the word out about StorageTek and our comprehensive range,” he says.

In the last few months the company has launched a range of channel-only products and boosted its partner programme to increase the number of New Zealand partners.

Tse says StorageTek has a massive footprint in the global storage market and wants to ensure that success is reflected in New Zealand. He believes demand for data storage and management remains strong, with the market growing between 25% and 50% annually.

“Organisations continue to redefine how they store and protect their information assets and how they manage that process.”

Tse has 17 years of experience in the channel; prior to joining Storage-

Tek he was managing director for Voltage, a sales and marketing consultancy, and has held positions with Logical, IBM and Eagle Technology.

StorageTek managing director Australia New Zealand Philip Belcher says Tse’s depth of local marketing knowledge and industry experience will be key ingredients.
