RESELLERS who sign up to Tandberg Data’s revamped partner programme are being pro-mised increased support and cash benefits.
The storage tape specialist wants to increase sales in the APAC region by 25% through the new-look Tandberg Special Sto-rage Partner programme.
Marketing and communication executive Venus Ang says the idea is to create a unique programme with attractive benefits to members.
Ang says feedback from existing partners has led to changes to better address partner needs.
Georg Schlueter, business development manager ANZ, says the original programme - established in 1998 - never ran well in the region.
“Now customers can join the programme for twelve months with no sales commitment. Tandberg is trying to help them push the brand,” he says.
Schlueter was recently appointed to the Sydney-based position in a bid to grow sales in the ANZ market.
The programme offers three classes of partner: ordinary, gold and platinum.
Depending on the category, resellers receive priority status for qualified leads, marketing development funds and rebates.
Tandberg says it is also looking to recruit resellers to increase sales in the SME market and to that effect Schleuter is working with New Zealand distributors T Data and Ingram Micro. Membership will be reviewed annually and automatically renewed or promoted to the next category of partner.
“We will sit down with our partners and discuss how we can help them achieve their goals,” says Schleuter.
