Resellers get a boost from Creative Suite 2

END-USERS and resellers will both have the chance to learn more about Adobe’s Creative Suite 2 in a series of roadshows scheduled to run in June.

Nick Hodge, Adobe Pacific channel sales manager, describes the upgraded and feature-enhanced bundle as an exciting product.

Hodge says resellers will benefit from a change in ordering that allows them to purchase box-product upgrades to sell to customers.

“Previously all customers had to go through Adobe for upgrades so we see this as an opportunity for resellers to increase their ability to service customers,” he says.

He says the change was made based on customer feedback that showed they enjoy a good relationship with their reseller.

The company sells 100% through the channel, is partnered with resellers Imagetext and Magnum Mac and distributes through Express Data and Ingram Micro.

Hodge anticipates that sales of Creative Suite 2 will go well within the print and publishing sector.

“It’s a nice, healthy niche market. Many of Adobe’s customers see the products as a platform to make money.”
