Imagetext scores with Smart move

GRAPHICS reseller Imagetext has scored another exclusive deal, this time with Australian software vendor Smart Solutions.

Darius Mistry, Imagetext managing director, approached the Melbourne-based company because he wanted to add more solutions to his company’s portfolio.

“It adds another dimension to our product set and helps our customers better service their clients,” he says.

Mistry says the inclusion of Smart Solutions will consolidate Imagetext’s position as the leading pre-press and print systems integrator in New Zealand.

He says his company has provided services and support to the market for over 20 years.

For Smart Solutions the partnership heralds its first official stab at the New Zealand market.

Managing director Russell Hibbert says the company is now ready to move into marketing its products. “Essentially we’ve been a publishing software development company, but now is the time to expand our profile,” he says.

The Smart Solutions suite has four major applications: Filesafe, Adworks, JAS and X-changer.

All web-based, they cover digital asset management, collaborative page make-up and customised marketing campaigns.

Imagetext also holds exclusive Australasian distribution rights for several other products, including Mass Transit and Data Logic.

Mistry says he wants to build up the local market first before venturing into Australia.

“We need to get some success stories under our belt in New Zealand before we look further.”
