First time in the channel for Geac

For the first time Geac has signed a New Zealand reseller for its Smartstream Financials software.

Auckland-based Integral Consulting has been supporting Smartstream customers for a number of years but until now the relationship hasn’t been formal.

While Geac will continue to sell direct, operations manager Paul Mackenzie says his team will be fully supporting Integral Consulting.

“Historically Geac’s expertise has been in ERP systems rather than financial systems. Integral has a lot of focus in that area so it’s an excellent product fit,” he says.

Mackenzie says his company wants to increase the exposure of its product range here and partnering is the best way to achieve this.

He describes Smartstream as a complete set of modules for managing a medium to large company’s back office operations.

Version 7 of the product was recently released.

Rene Pascual, managing director Integral Consulting, is excited about the opportunities the partnership brings his company.

“We’ve been implementing and maintaining the product for the last few years. As most of our work revolves around financial software we can see the advantage in this,” he says.
