BREAKING away from its exclusive distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, Belkin has also signed IT Wholesale to boost incremental business.
Country manager Stephanie Ogden describes IT Wholesale (ITW) as a young and hungry company that is giving Belkin a lot of focus in the small to medium enterprise channels. “The response we’ve had from ITW has been fantastic. Even though it will probably take six months to get them up and running this will open new doors for our products. We are growing at such a fast rate that we need our distribution partner to be focused on the same areas of growth,” she says.
Ogden says there are no plans to break away from Ingram Micro and doesn’t think the signing of ITW will detract from its business.
“Belkin will absolutely stay with Ingram, my company wouldn’t be where it is now without their support. However ITW has recently picked up several new agencies and some of those have a great synergy with our products.”
ITW sales manager Tracey Condie says Belkin products are complementary to its telco channel and is looking forward to growing the business.
Condie says the Australian arm of ITW took on Belkin last year with very satisfying results and is hoping for the same success here.
