Softmetaware partners for Australian push

New Zealand’s Softmetaware already has customers in Australia, but now plans to ramp things up by aggressively going into that market through a partnership with Intelligent Business Research Services (IBRS).

The companies will jointly market and distribute the other’s products across the Tasman.

Jorn Bettin, Softmetaware managing director, says the partnership provides an interesting opportunity to target the New Zealand corporate market and gain further local customers.

“IBRS research and consulting will be just as appealing to New Zealand businesses,” he says.

Bettin says his company has existing customers in Australia and this partnership is part of a strategy to move into the market there.

“We’ll also be taking our core service offering into Australia, initially working with associates on the ground, and will eventually set up an office there.”

Nick Bowman, IBRS managing director, says Softmetaware has a strong reputation at the leading edge of software engineering and adds that he has been looking for the right company to sell IBRS’ services into the New Zealand market.

IBRS provides IT and business research and Softmetaware specialises in techniques and tools for the implementation of software systems.
