EXPRESS Data is looking to take advantage of a telemarketing service set up by its Australian counterpart.
Paul Plester, national sales manager, says the telesales team has been put together by Express Data Australia to service vendors and resellers alike.
“When a marketing initiative is being rolled out - and that often comes from a US announcement - vendors need a specialised service to help spread the message,” he says.
The paid service also provides follow-up calls for event invitations, updates for database information and gives resellers the opportunity to generate interest in their business.
Ross Cochrane, managing director Australia, says the service is a move forward from sending out flyers on behalf of resellers to actively promoting seminars and similar events.
Now into its third month, Express Data Australia estimates the telemarketing team spends 46% of its time calling resellers on behalf of vendors, 38% on reseller campaigns and 16% on updating its database.
Plester says he would rather utilise the Australian service than reproduce it here. “Express Data is very mindful of the ANZ relationship and when it doesn’t make sense to re-invent the wheel it won’t.”
